Experience The Immersive 9 at the Arredondo Campus

Incoming Kindergarten through 5th grade students must score at 97% or higher in at least one area on a state board-approved test for gifted identification 

OR

Incoming Kindergarten through 5th grade students must score at 94% or higher in at least one area on a state board-approved test for gifted identification with an 85th percentile or higher in at least one additional area.*

*This criteria applies to both in- and out-of-district student applications.

Current ASPIRE Academy students will automatically be accepted into the program for the following school year and do not need to reapply.

If your child is not currently attending a school within Tempe Elementary Schools, please send all requested qualification files to the Front Office Manager Ashley Torres. 

Our gifted school isn’t for everyone. Students who test gifted and meet The Immersive 9 requirements can confidently apply to be accepted into The Immersive 9 at the Arredondo Campus. We highly encourage families to secure a reservation and explore the ecosystem first-hand.

Application Process

February 25 begins the first open enrollment application two-week period for priority categories below:

A.  Returning students. (Returning students are not required to complete an application.) 

B.  Siblings of resident transfer and nonresident students currently enrolled at the school.

C.  Children of a District employee.

D.  New resident transfer student or new nonresident student.

LOTTERY
If the number of applications received during the first open enrollment application period is greater than the number of available seats, a lottery will take place utilizing the priority categories listed above. 

After the first open enrollment application period, open enrollment applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis with no priority.

The Immersive 9 is located on the Arredondo Campus in the heart of Tempe, Arizona, conveniently just south of the US-60 between Rural Road and McClintock Drive, offering open enrollment to all students across the Phoenix metropolitan area who qualify. 

Tempe Elementary Schools NOW offers both universal and Saturday gifted testing throughout the year for all students.
